Crystaleyezed February Release Schedule The February schedule brings a few different types of media. The first release of the month is the Crystaleyezed Mini Art Zine Issue 5 featuring artist DeanSanta. This month will feature the first official MP3 single release from BlackZen. Previously most of his work has been recorded as the deep space dub band Zentropia or solo ambient recordings by Mark Bray. This features BlackZen stripped down to heavy beats. We look forward to lots more to come. The third and final release of this month will be the new video for One Mean Wave from Fuchsia Fields. Multi instrumentalist and video maker, Fuchsia, will be braving those ferocious Pacific waves to get some good footage for this one. Keep up with the latest from Crystaleyezed by joining our mailing list. You can also follow us on Twitter, MySpace, Facebook and Youtube. |

Zentropia - II | |
Re-release of the Zentropia II album: Recorded in 1999, this trip-hop infused ambient rockfest presumably takes place aboard what could possibly be the first manned spaceship to travel to the outer reaches of our solar system, soundtrack courtesy of Zentropia's founding duo, space guitarist Mark Bray and bassist Darcy Rowley. With dubby beats and guitar sounds floating in anti-matter, its a sonic journey that begins with cosmic creations exploding in "Solar Birth" travels through the "Light of the Hydrogen Alpha Line" and ends with the sounds of an "Extra Terrestrial Frequency Response" that astrophysicists in listening stations around the globe have been waiting entire lives to hear. Available now on MP3 Total Running Time: 32:06 minutes |

New Presto Electro EP |
|
Presto Electro's self-titled EP release is the concoction of dub and space music producer Mark Bray and electronic rocker Mason Dyer. The first track "Presto in the Bungalow" kicks in with heavy grooves, built upon solid beats with wavering synth tones rising like heat waves on a summer day. "Taking a Cat for a Walk" is aptly titled, as the sounds seems to bounce around, coming from all directions, as though it were a cat on a leash!

Fuchsia Fields - One Mean Wave
Learning to surf along the stretch of Nor Cal from Half Moon Bay to San Francisco is not for the faint of heart, in fact, it can be downright scary. This rugged and rough coastline is home to Maverick’s, the biggest wave on the west coast, and the Red Triangle, a geographical area known to have the highest concentration of great white sharks. The waves at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach are so massive and heavy at times they are often referred to as bombs. As if learning to surf isn’t hard enough, there is all that to contend with! Summer time surfing fun is NOT the theme of Fuchsia Field’s latest single “One Mean Wave.” As the song begins, it seems like it might just be a groovy tune for a summer afternoon. The surf rock riffs get your head bopping along, then the lyrics kick in and catch you off guard…“it held me down and swirled me around, hit me hard into the sand, I don’t think I’ll ever be the same again.” This is a story of how a Nor Cal wave can change your life. |

Fuchsia Fields - Devil's Slide Single
The latest single from Fuchsia Fields captures the Northern California coastal dichotomy: sun and fog, hide and low tide, fun and danger, waves and undertow, as though it were musical tide pool comprised of all the elements that both delight and terrify the soul. You know, those pleasures in life that have a hidden dark side, and just possibly, that dark side is subconsciously what makes them appealing to begin with. "Devil's Slide" fuses elements of west coast surf rock played in wide open spaces with insistent guitars, thudding bass that could as easily be the sound of waves pounding the coastline, and attitude laced high-end vocals mixed with silky low-end vocals, as though a siren's song were drifting through the heavy fog, warning of the approaching danger while secretly luring you in. There is no doubt this track will leave you wanting ever more of Fuchsia Fields. |

Mark Bray - Grace Light Space “Grace Light Space” from mind bending musician Mark Bray is a meditative journey coinciding with the Grace Light, on July 17th 2008. The Grace Light, an astronomical event recognized on the eastern vedic calendar, points towards a human consciousness shift, bringing new levels of compassion, joy, peace and intelligence into the world. It is marked by the Full Moon of the Guru, associated with human enlightenment, which cycles though every 60 years. It was illuminating the sky that night on July 17th. Mark Bray, legendary space guitar master and music producer, pushes the boundaries of the meditative universe with this solo guitar track. Recorded live on an InterFACE Pirate Radio broadcast during the Grace Light event, the pulsar emulating tones were meant to open the listener’s electrical pathways, optimizing the input of divine energy that is the Grace Light. |
