Hey there! I started working on a new watercolor series. They will be 5″ x 7″ on paper with black inking. I’m trying a couple new ideas on these.
I made some stamp sort of things our of foam to make some cool patterns. I explored this idea on some larger acrylic paintings back on the Other Worlds Than These Series.
Another change will be me trying out using a brush with India ink instead of using my trusty Pentel Pocket Brush. I love the Pocket Brush and its little cartridges. But I ran out and don’t feel like going out for more and ordering takes too long. So, I had to pull out some Higgins Black India ink I had laying around and will be experimenting with that tonight.
I got the first couple layers of color and patterns on last night. Then they had to dry…and I got tired. But anyway, it was good to lay down some color on 6 blank pieces of paper and see where that takes me. Each painting is a journey to an unknown place. I’m never quite sure where I will go.
Painting abstracts is a good way to delve deep into the crevices of the mind. Searching for new ideas and discoveries. Thus, the reason for my Crystaleyezed Fine Arts Cosmic Archeology Department. Going where no one has gone before and bringing back artifacts to investigate and take to other dimensions.
Well, I sort of got off track there. I thin I was just supposed to tell you about my new paintings I’m working on. Oh yeah, plus the new music I’m recording. I’ve been working on new tracks and have 2 up in the last few weeks. I’m on a roll and planning for lots more.
